Colonel  Malik graduated from The Pakistan Military Academy as an Officer in 1987. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1997 and thereafter a Masters in Telecommunication Engineering in 2002 in which he was presented with The Presidents Gold Medal from The National University of Sciences & Technology. He has been appointed on various Command and Training assignments during his army career. He has also undertaken a number of major assignments within the telecoms industry with a number of global telecoms companies eg BT, O2, Vodaphone, Huawei.   He holds professional memberships at IET (UK), IEEE(USA), PEC and ITU.
